About this battery

Sealed battery for the space used by the 6N4-2A-4: it never needs topping up and has no vent tube.

The original 6N4-2A-4 is a conventional flooded battery. A sealed battery replaces it without the need for maintenance, provided the motorcycle’s voltage regulator / rectifier charges between 14.0 and 14.8 V (measure at the terminals with the engine running at 3000–4000 rpm). For older motorcycles that charge below this range, stick with a conventional battery.

Use a smart motorcycle battery charger: the recommended current is around 0.4 A (capacity divided by 10), and never more than 3 A.
