Why this adapter

The simplest adapter to get started: plug it into the car's OBD2 port and pair it over Bluetooth with your phone or laptop.

iPhone users

iOS does not support classic Bluetooth, so this model will not work with an iPhone or iPad. You need a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth LE adapter instead.

PIC18F25K80 chip

Inside there is a PIC18F25K80 microcontroller, the same one in every unbranded ELM327 Satkit sells. It is the chip found in the clones that diagnostic forums rate best: a programmable microcontroller from the same family (PIC18) as the original ELM327, usually running firmware based on the original 1.4.
