Before switching to a sealed battery
The original battery is conventional. A maintenance-free AGM or gel battery can replace it if the motorcycle's voltage regulator/rectifier charges between 14.0 and 14.8 V with the engine running at 3000–4000 rpm. If the charging voltage is lower, stick with a conventional battery. A sealed battery does not have a vent tube, so leave the motorcycle's tube disconnected.
