What does YB4L-B mean?
- YB: Yuasa's YuMicron range of high-performance conventional flooded batteries.
- 4: in this case, it is close to the capacity: the YB4L-B has a capacity of 4 Ah at the 10-hour rate.
- L: reversed polarity, with the positive terminal on the right when viewed with the label facing you.
- -B: the combination of terminal layout, vent outlet and case shape. There is no general rule; check the drawing for each battery code.

Satkit battery for YB4L-B
YB4L-B gel motorcycle battery: 12 V and 3.5 Ah, 60 A starting current, sealed gel battery.
Before switching to a sealed battery
The original is a conventional flooded battery. An AGM or gel battery is a maintenance-free replacement if the motorcycle's voltage regulator / rectifier charges between 14.0 and 14.8 V with the engine running at 3.000–4.000 rpm. If it charges less, stick with a conventional battery. A sealed battery has no vent tube, so leave the motorcycle's vent tube disconnected.
