What does YTX12-BS mean?
- Y: Yuasa, the brand that created the naming system. Other manufacturers change only this letter (GS uses GTX, Exide uses ETX and BS Battery uses BTX), leaving the rest unchanged.
- TX: the maintenance-free AGM series.
- 12: a size and power index, not the amp-hours: the YTX12-BS has a capacity of 10 Ah at the 10-hour rate.
- -BS: the original battery is supplied dry with an acid bottle (bottle supplied), so it must be filled before fitting.
