The YTX9-BS column gives the specifications from Yuasa, the brand behind the battery code; the other column lists those of the battery sold by Satkit. Capacity is always compared at the same hourly rate, and starting current using the same standard.
What does YTX9-BS mean?
- Y: Yuasa, which created the naming system. Other manufacturers change only this letter (GS uses GTX, Exide uses ETX and BS Battery uses BTX) while keeping the rest of the code.
- TX: the maintenance-free AGM series.
- 9: a size and power rating, not the amp-hours: the YTX9-BS has a capacity of 8 Ah at the 10-hour rate.
- -BS: the original battery is supplied dry with an acid bottle (bottle supplied), so it must be filled before fitting.
