What YTX7A-BS means
- Y: Yuasa, the brand that created the naming system. Other manufacturers change only this letter (GS uses GTX, Exide uses ETX, and BS Battery uses BTX) and keep the rest of the code.
- TX: the maintenance-free AGM series.
- 7: a size and power index, not the capacity in amp-hours: the YTX7A-BS has a capacity of 6 Ah at the 10-hour rate.
- A after the number: a case variant, different from the version without a letter.
- -BS: the original battery is supplied dry with an acid bottle (bottle supplied), so it can be filled before fitting.
