The YTX20L-BS column gives the specifications from Yuasa, the brand behind this battery code; the other column lists those of the battery sold by Satkit. Capacity is always compared using the same hour-rate basis, and starting current using the same standard.
What YTX20L-BS means
- Y: Yuasa, which created this naming system. Other manufacturers change only this letter (GS uses GTX, Exide uses ETX and BS Battery uses BTX), while keeping the rest the same.
- TX: the maintenance-free AGM series.
- 20: a size and power index, not the amp-hours: the YTX20L-BS has a capacity of 18 Ah at the 10-hour rate.
- L: the reversed polarity, with the positive terminal on the right when viewed with the label facing you.
- -BS: the original battery is supplied dry with its acid bottle (bottle supplied), and must be filled before fitting.
