What does YTX16-BS mean?
- Y: Yuasa, the brand that created this naming system. Other manufacturers change only this letter (GS uses GTX, Exide ETX and BS Battery BTX), keeping the rest the same.
- TX: the maintenance-free AGM series.
- 16: a size and power index, not the amp-hours: the YTX16-BS has a capacity of 14 Ah at the 10-hour rate.
- -BS: the original battery is supplied dry with an acid bottle (bottle supplied), so it must be filled before fitting.
