What does YTX4L-BS mean?
- Y: Yuasa, which created this naming system. Other manufacturers change only this letter (GS uses GTX, Exide uses ETX and BS Battery uses BTX), keeping the rest of the code the same.
- TX: the maintenance-free AGM series.
- 4: a size and power index, not the amp-hour rating: the YTX4L-BS has a capacity of 3 Ah at the 10-hour rate.
- L: reversed polarity, with the positive terminal on the right when you’re facing the label.
- -BS: the original battery is supplied dry with its acid bottle (bottle supplied), so it must be filled before fitting.
