Customer Questions & Answers

What types of loads and maximum power can the relays on this module handle?

Each relay supports up to 10A at 250V AC or 10A at 30V DC, equivalent to a recommended maximum load of 2500W in AC or 300W in DC per channel. It is essential not to exceed these limits to preserve service life and module safety.

What is included in the package and what are the physical dimensions of the module?

The package includes the board with four relays, the ESP-01 WiFi module and the connectors. The board measures 60 mm x 63 mm. Power cables and a protective case are not included. Approximate weight is 75 g.

Is it compatible with supply voltages other than 12V, and what happens if it is connected to 5V?

The module is designed for 12V input power on IN+/IN-. Powering it with 5V will prevent the relays from operating correctly and may stop the ESP-01 from working. This is not recommended to avoid damage or erratic operation.

What happens if there is a power cut or outage? Is the WiFi configuration lost?

The module uses Smartconfig technology to configure and store the WiFi information in memory. After a power cut, the configuration is retained, so there is no need to set it up again unless a full reset is carried out.

How does the isolation and interference protection compare with other similar relay modules?

This module includes four opto-isolators and protection diodes on each channel, reducing the risk of electromagnetic interference and current spikes. This gives it an advantage over low-cost modules without optocouplers, especially in industrial environments or with motors.

What supply voltage does the relay module require?

The module requires a 12V input voltage to operate.

How many relay channels does the module have?

The module has four relay channels for controlling different devices.

How is the relay module controlled?

It is controlled through a mobile app that connects to the module via WiFi within the local network.

Is it compatible with Arduino?

Yes, the module can be integrated with Arduino systems using the UART interface for programming and control.

What is the maximum WiFi transmission distance?

In an open environment, the maximum transmission distance is approximately 100 metres.
